More design, more comfort: smart furniture is on its way
When we talked about Smart Home, we used to mean principally networked electronic devices. Today, smart home also refers to furniture as we saw at this year’s “imm cologne”. Desks, coffee tables and wall units are not just shelves, they are more likely to be an integrated wireless charger and storage for handy, laptop or tablet – and that’s very visually pleasing and super convenient.
Having Bluetooth and WiFi, tables are height-adjustable by means of a touch display – and that means less backache with less bending. Beds and seating are becoming more ingenious; homeowners could save their preferred seating position and create your individual sleep profile. In this way, smart furniture is even contributing positively to physical health in the long term.
Häfele has developed the relevant technology for this – ‘Häfele Connect’ which drives to manage and control your furniture like lightings, TV and air-conditioning with your smartphone, anytime and anywhere as well as anyone!
