Smart kitchens – cutting-edge technology for food preparation

Many of the kitchen manufacturers exhibiting at Eurocucina in Milan showed off new, sensor-controlled functions designed to make cooking and baking even easier and more efficient. The latest hobs and ovens can tell how well done a dish is and adjust the temperature and cooking time accordingly. Some appliances let the cook monitor progress via a built-in camera and control the appliance using an app or touchpad. There were plenty of other technical innovations on show, including an integrated tabletop induction hob that only becomes visible when in use. To keep the cook entertained, kitchens can be equipped with a Bluetooth music player – like the Häfele sound system 205, which can be invisibly built into any piece of furniture.
